Calder Fanni Fringe Skirt

Calder Fanni Fringe Skirt

This piece was created by Bode in honor of the centennial celebration of Calder’s Circus, in collaboration with the Calder Foundation and the Whitney Museum of American Art. First created in Paris in 1926, Alexander Calder’s Cirque is a portable miniature circus fashioned from wire, cork, fabric, and other materials—at once sculpture, theater, and performance.

This silky, fringed skirt references the pink skirt worn by Fanni, the Belly Dancer, in the Circus. The crocheted waistband is finished with rhinestone florets.

Please Note: This item is non-returnable. All sales are final.
